Yesterday was our last day of work. We have a few days "off" before they come to pack up our place. "Off" is a relative term. Fri is a rest day before the first real big race of the year. It is also a day for us to take care of a bit of business prior to the move.
The last few days have been pretty good. They had a lunch on Wed for Amber and the guys took me out for lunch on Thur. Wed night was an imagery session courtesy of coach Noa which was pretty good. I remembered the importance of visualization from using it playing sports growing up but the imagery uses all of the senses. It is definitely worth while.
Aside from that, we are trudging along getting ready for the move and "resting" up for NB 1/2 Ironman on Sunday. Now, all we need is for the rain to hold off.
It has been bitter sweet over the last couple of days. It's exciting to start a new job in a new area but we are leaving behind an excellent community and good friends. All will be missed but only a short flight away. I'll be back in less than 3 wks for Ironman camp in Penticton with a lot of the gang. Should be good.
We start our drive on Friday and will attempt to keep everyone posted on the voyage across. Hopefully we'll even have a few photos.
Take care. Keep smiling. M
