Settling In.... Sort Of

For a couple of months now, we have been promising to update on our big move from West to East and believe it or not, this has been the first opportunity that we've had to.... breathe.
Needless to say, our new jobs at the College have been much busier then expected but very rewarding in many ways. The biggest adjustment has been trying to rework our training schedules. The best time to catch the Cadets is either in the morning (before 0745, at lunch, or after 4:30pm (ie. after class). Most of the time in between is usually open to train whenever we want - it just has been a bit of an adjustment to reworking our schedules. Thankfully after a pep talk from Noa, things seem to finally be moving along. Check out the article that was written about our first few months on the job.

As well, moving from a 1600 sq ft townhouse into a 1900 sq ft + finished basement house has been a huge adjustment. Finally, after many months of searching (and thanks to the Mennonites!), most of the house is finally furnished and we're getting settled. To be honest, there are many rooms that we hardly go in, but the good news is that there is lots of room for company! So if you're ever in town... look us up! (Although... I must say that at this time of year KTown is no match for Victoria - believe it or not, its almost time to hang up our bikes). Having a lawn and garden has been a HUGE challenge - I did not inherit my parent's green thumb - but luckily they're not too far away!
We're slowing getting settled - not quite there..... but almost. It has been a huge adjustment but so far things have been working out well :) A
