Any advid cyclist/triathlete will quickly notice that there is nowhere to sit on this bike. Why you ask? Matt was in for a big surprise when he opened his bike case in Oro Valley (north of Tucson) and realized that he had left his seatpost and saddle at home in Kingston. Luckily, after one day on a rented bike, he bought a new seatpost today from a very cool (and helpful) bike shop in Tucson - FairWheel Bikes (http://www.fairwheelbikes.com/) and rented a new saddle from Tri Sports. Needless to say, this will make a very funny story one day but Matt was less then impressed when the whole thing happened. One thing is for sure - he'll never forget his seatpost again! Things down here are good - it's great to be with the gang from PT Performance again. Will post another update soon (with comments from Matt) Until then.... order has been restored.... A

Tucson can not come soon enough!!!
This week has been a gong show. We managed to leave work at arounfd7:30 this evening and the rest of the week has been much of the same. Tucson can really not come soon enough.
We'll be heading to Toronto tomorrow and catching an early flight Sat morning in to Phoenix. I'm definitely looking fwd to being in a focused environment and not having to worry about work. Way too often, work seems to get in the way of everything. Anyways, next week should be the kick in the @ss to get things back on track. Must admit, it will be nice to actually ride a bike outside and have some folks to train with. I may come to regret that benefit but it will definitely show how much work I need.
Anyways, we'll try to keep everything updated with what we are up to next week. Before we head that direction, we'll be lucky enough to see Amber's Nonna and parents.
Probably won't post something until we are in warmer weather. M

What the...............?
It seems like every time we look at our blog multiple weeks have passed and to be honest, we have no clue where the time has been going. A couple of weeks ago, we made a quick trip out to Nova Scotia to see my family...my 2 grandmothers in particular. We managed to have lunch in Toronto with Amber's parents and see her Nonna and Aunt prior to catching our flight. We had dinner at my parents place on the Friday night with the rest of the family. Prior to catching our flight out on Monday we managed to hook up with a bunch of friends we went to University with so it was good.
Since we have been back in Kingston, work has been very hectic....too hectic for our liking. We've had to be at work way too early and we worked all last weekend which has been making it a little tough to get the training in and get things done around the house.
Since the Olympics started yesterday, we've kept the tv on quite a bit. Managed to watch the entire Opening Ceremonies this morning while on the bike which was pretty inspirational.
Aside from that, we're trying to take it relatively easy this weekend and will be getting ready to head to Tucson next weekend to meet up with Coach Noa and the gang from Victoria. I can not even begin to explain how much I am looking forward to getting out of the cold and actually focussing on training, recovery and not work. M
